At Alligator Adventure you’ll find yourself face to face with nature’s fiercest and most beautiful
animals. Located adjacent to Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, one of South Carolina’s most outstanding tourist
attractions, Alligator Adventure is one of the largest facilities for reptile life in the world. During your visit to
the park you will be guided through beautiful natural swamps and marshes, where you’ll encounter an amazing array of
reptiles, lizards, turtles, giant frogs, and exotic birds from around the world! Alligator Adventure is the proud home
to over 800 alligators that range in size from eight-inch infants to 13-foot adults that weigh five to six hundred
pounds each. In the main alligator exhibit pool, more than 300 large adults wait patiently while skilled lecturers
explain the facsinating life history of these ancient creatures. The talks are climaxed with staff members feeding
the large reptiles by hand. |

Brookgreen is the country's oldest and largest sculpture garden where some 550 works of American
figurative sculpture are displayed throughout the Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington Sculpture Garden, one of the most
beautiful public gardens in the Southeast. In addition, there's a Lowcountry Trail with native wildlife exhibits as well
as historical and cultural exhibits that reveal the distinctive life and land of Lowcountry Carolina. Tours and
excursions are offered daily, as well as seasonal programs.
Since opening to the public seven decades ago, Brookgreen Gardens has introduced visitors from
around the world to an enchanting and compelling showcase of art and nature. The gardens are set on a 300-acre
parcel in the heart of a 9,100-acre preserve on the South Carolina coast that stretches from the Atlantic Ocean
to historic ricefields bordering the Waccamaw River.
The centerpiece of the Brookgreen property is a beautifully landscaped garden of centuries-old live
oaks and more than 2,000 species and subspecies of plants native and adapted to the Southeastern United States.
Throughout the gardens, the largest outdoor display of American figurative sculpture in the world -- more than 550
works by over 300 artists -- can be enjoyed in every season. |

On occasion you could be fortunate enough to see MLB players such as Mike Hampton and Tom Glavine (both pitchers for the Atlanta Braves in 2008) pitch rehab games with the Pelicans!

Ripley'sT Aquarium is a $40 million, state-of-the-art, 87,000 square foot aquarium experience,
located in Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It is South Carolina's most visited attraction,
where guests are entertained by some of the worlds' most beautiful, fascinating and dangerous aquatic life.
Visitors are surrounded an all sides by menacing 10 foot sharks as they travel through Dangerous Reef,
a 750,000 gallon tank, on the world's longest (330-foot) moving glidepath. Other spectacular features at Ripley's
T Aquarium include Ray Bay, highlighting a variety of rays from multiple viewing levels and Friendship Flats, where
guests touch Atlantic and Southern Cow-Nose Rays and Bonnet-Head sharks. Rainbow Rock offers a stunning view of
thousands of brilliantly colored Pacific fishes from Hawaii, Australia and the Indian Ocean through an acrylic
window the size of two movie screens.
The freshwater Rio Amazon exhibit showcases piranha and other exotic species unique to the Amazon rain

weedy sea dragons, sea horses and pipefish are featured as art in The Living Gallery. The Schooling Fish Tank, a 10-foot
cylindrical exhibit, is home to a unique collection of beautiful lookdowns.
Guests experience the thrill of holding horseshoe crabs at The Sea-For-Yourself Discovery Center,
an interactive, multi-media playground and educational resource center that fascinates children and adults of all ages.
